የፋይናንስ ተቋማት ቁጠባን በማሰባሰብና የብድር አገልግሎቶችን በመስጠት በኢኮኖሚ ዕድገት ውስጥ ከፍተኛ ሚና ያበረክታሉ። ሆኖም ግን ዝቅተኛና መካከለኛ የገቢ ደረጃ ላይ ያሉ ዜጎች ተመጣጣኝ ወለድ ያለውን ብድር ለማግኘት አሁንም እጅግ ውስን ዕድል አላቸው። ይህም በንግድ ሥራቸው ላይ እንዲጠነከሩ፣ እንዲያስፋፉና የኑሮ ደረጃቸውን እንዲያሻሽሉ እንቅፋት ይሆናል። በዚህ ረገድ የቁጠባና ብድር ኅብረት ሥራ ማህበራት አባላት ሀብታቸውን በጋራ እንዲያሰባስቡ፣ ተመጣጣኝ ብድር እንዲያገኙ እና በጋራ ጥረታቸው የሚፈጠረውን ጥቅም እንዲጋሩ በማስቻል ይህንን ክፍተት ይሞላሉ።
ማዲ የቁጠባና ብድር ኅብረት ሥራ ማህበር “ቆጣቢውም እኛ፣ ተበዳሪውም እኛ!” በሚል መሪ ቃል ይህንን ችግር ለመፍታት ተመስርቷል። ማህበሩ ጠንካራ የቁጠባ ባህልን ያበረታታል፣ ተመጣጣኝና ተደራሽ የብድር አገልግሎት ይሰጣል፣ እንዲሁም አባላቱ ኢኮኖሚያዊና ማኅበራዊ ደህንነታቸውን እንዲያሻሽሉ ያበረታታል።
ማህበሩ በኦሮሚያ ክልል የኅብረት ሥራ ማህበራት አዋጅ ቁጥር 218/2011 መሠረት መጋቢት 3 ቀን 2016 ዓ.ም. (March 12, 2024 G.C.) የተመሠረተ ሲሆን፣ ከወሊሶና ሸገር ከተሞች የተውጣጡ 63 መስራች አባላት በመሆን መስርተውታል። የማህበሩ አባላት ከተለያዩ የሙያና የማኅበረሰብ ዘርፎች የተውጣጡ ሲሆን፣ የኅብረት ሥራ ባለሙያዎች፣ የባንክና የማይክሮፋይናንስ ባለሙያዎች፣ የሕግ ባለሙያዎች፣ አስተማሪዎች፣ የሃይማኖት መሪዎች፣ ነጋዴዎች፣ የትራንስፖርት ሥራ ላይ የተሰማሩ እና በመንግሥትና በግል ተቋማት የሚሠሩ ሠራተኞችን ያካትታል።
ማዲ የተመሠረተው የአባላትን የገንዘብ ሀብት፣ እውቀትና ጊዜ በጋራ በማሰባሰብ የማኅበራዊና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ችግሮችን በኅብረት እንደሚፈቱ፣ ዘላቂ የልማት ዕድሎችን እንደሚፈጥሩ እና የአባላቱን የኑሮ ጥራት እንደሚያሻሽሉ በሚል መርህ ላይ ነው።

Financial institutions play a vital role in mobilizing savings and providing financial services. However, access to affordable credit remains limited for many low- and middle-income individuals, making it difficult for them to invest, grow their businesses, and improve their livelihoods. Savings and Credit Cooperatives bridge this gap by enabling members to pool their resources, access affordable loans, and share in the benefits generated through collective efforts.
MAADDII Savings and Credit Cooperative was established to address this challenge under the motto “We Save Together, We Benefit Together.” The cooperative promotes a strong culture of saving, provides affordable and accessible credit, and empowers members to improve their economic and social well-being.
Established on March 12, 2024 G.C. in accordance with Oromia Regional State Cooperative Societies Proclamation No. 218/2011, MAADDII was founded by 63 founding members from Waliso and Sheger. Its membership comprises professionals and community members from diverse backgrounds, including cooperative practitioners, banking and microfinance experts, legal professionals, educators, religious leaders, entrepreneurs, transport operators, and employees of both public and private institutions.
MAADDII is founded on the philosophy that by pooling members’ financial resources, knowledge, and time, collective action can overcome socioeconomic challenges, create sustainable opportunities, and improve the quality of life of its members.
